Learn more about Dr. Lauren Stefaniuk
I knew I wanted to be a Chiropractor since I was in high school. I have always been fascinated by the human body and have had a natural inclination to hold space for people’s healing. I enjoy listening to people and helping them create change in a hands-on fashion. Teaching has always been a passion of mine, so it’s quite fitting to be able to help educate people about how their bodies can heal! Once I saw how Chiropractors combine all of the things that I love, including getting deep into the analysis with x-rays, I knew this was what I was meant to do.

I started my path in the health care field by doing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in my home-town Calgary, Alberta, Canada. You might hear my Canadian accent pop out every now and again! I majored in Exercise and Health Physiology, for a deep understanding of the human body. During that time, I wrote and published an article on anti-bullying policies in Canadian National Sport Organizations, of which I was the first author. I was so honored to write on a situation that had significant impacts on my younger years in sport, to try to make a change in that narrative. After my undergrad, I ventured to California to finally pursue my dream of becoming a Chiropractor. I am grateful to have earned my Doctor of Chiropractic from a traditionally based Chiropractic College in the Bay Area – Life Chiropractic College West. I graduated in Sept. 2022 as the Salutatorian of my class with Summa Cum Laude honors.
While I was in Chiropractic College, I was introduced to Network Spinal chiropractic and it literally changed my life. Before network I felt like a robot, successfully doing everything that everyone asked of me to the fullest extent possible (even to the detriment of myself), but I was completely numb and did not feel any pride. I also had significant back and wrist pain from being a student and incorrect body mechanics during volleyball and yoga. I had so much anxiety from school that my hands would literally shake, and I felt like there was a cloud around my head preventing me from being present with anyone or having any straight thoughts. Thankfully, I was introduced to Network Spinal Analysis from my friend who invited me to a dinner talk with her practitioner Jeannie Kakazaki. I am a completely different person from this care and am so grateful it found me and called me to help people also come out of their shells into an authentic life. The amount of emotional trauma that was released from my body during the initial months of care was astronomical. I balled my eyes out on the table every adjustment for the first 3 months, not knowing what specific events I was releasing, but the impacts were long-lasting.
Eventually the anxiety that had incapacitated me diminished and I could truly be present in every situation. I learned strategies to regulate my emotions and express them appropriately so they were no longer-bottled up in my system, causing my prior physical pains and numb demeaner. Once I had witnessed the incredible changes in my life from this technique I decided to dedicate my Chiropractic training to Network Spinal. I have been practicing Network for 3 years, during almost the entirety of my graduate degree, and have completed all of the seminars to learn the technique. I also have attended a Gate Healing Fest, which greatly expanded my awareness of the depths this work can take.
My personal interests include board games, softball, any water sport, working out, and exploring new places around the area. Yoga and meditation were one of the first practices that helped me realize how peaceful life can be when my brain isn’t constantly thinking, so those are part of my daily routine. I also love that this technique leaves room for humming and singing, so I am combining my two favorite things in the world every day when I am at work!
